Sun sesquisquare Neptune: There is a part of this relationship which is more so not in reality. This can also indicate more of an acquaintance-level relationship in some cases. This also adds something unconventional about the relationships, whether that be about who’s involved, how it started, or if it’s long distance, etc. New date ideas, new ways of communicating, etc. Or, this is a relationship constantly coming up with new unique ways of going about things. There may be an unreliable quality to it. Sun square Uranus: This enhances the unpredictability of the relationship. Thus this relationship suffers from unpredictability and instability. The potential is there but it’s very hard to unlock. Sun quincunx Saturn: Longevity and stability is possible for this relationship but it’s hard to initially find and get to. Oftentimes hard times will result in painful consequences for it, rather than something it’s strong enough to stick through. The relationship finds a lot of blockages when it comes to growth in the relationship. Sun square Jupiter: There may be overindulgence in this relationship, things sometimes seem to good to be true for this relationship because they are. Sun semi-sextile Venus: This relationship has slight undertones of indulgence and romance, there is a beauty to the personality of this relationship. Sun intercepted in the 5th: This relationship is definitely of a romantic nature, but it’s more difficult to bring that nature out into the consciousness of the relationship. There may also be a more secretive nature to this relationship, unless house placement says otherwise. There’s something taboo about this relationship, traditionally taboo could mean it is a same-sex relationship, two people of differing religions, two people from conflicting cultures, etc or just that it’s not approved of by those around them. It could also be an argumentative one, and one that sparks up controversy amongst people. Sun in Scorpio: The personality of this relationship is very intense, there could be an obsessiveness to this relationship, where it can’t just relax. Take this Davison Sun placement for example: So basically, you interpret it like you would a natal chart. So, to get to the point, the Sun in the Davison Chart represents the personality of the relationship in terms of sign placement, the purpose of the relationship in terms of house placement, and in terms of aspect how this interacts with other areas of the relationship. Thus slightly altering how you’d read it. As the Davison Chart is the “natal chart” of the relationship, it is interpreted as if you were reading any old natal chart except it’s with the relationship as the “person” being read for. So, how to interpret the Davison Sun sign and other placements? Rather than synastry which tells you about how you interact with one another, or the Composite which tells you the objective roles of the relationship in the world and how it would be acted out in life. This is a hard concept to get a grasp on, but think of it as how the relationship affect both parties and how the relationship itself makes a mark on other people and the world. It is, in other words, the natal chart of a relationship as a third entity. The Davison Chart is the subjective chart of the relationship in the world.
